City of Love (9)

By Emmeline Bisiikwa, Uganda

The dinner seemed like a first date in so many ways. I don’t know if it was the intimacy of the rooftop restaurant, the expectations or airing our feelings that had freed us to express ourselves. He sat next to me and kept caressing me as he watched me. I was nervous and excited I could barely string a thought together much less a sentence.

SK told me how he had missed me and the months apart had moved so slowly. How he had been excited to see me and had almost come to see me but his busy schedule couldn’t allow.

“I missed you too. All I could think about was you to be honest,” I said.

“Really? Somehow I imagined you were enjoying Paris and didn’t miss me. A couple of times I called and missed you.”

“I didn’t go out much, just seeing a few sights. My client insisted I take some time off otherwise I would have missed it all.”

“Well, I am just glad you are back. Now I can do all the things I’ve wanted to but couldn’t ‘cause you were miles away.”

“Really? Like what?”

“Well, for starters I’ve been dying to kiss you properly.”

“Is that so? Now am dying to see what that’s like.”

SK leaned in and his lips captured mine. If I thought he had kissed me before I was wrong. This was an all-consuming flame as his soft lips molded to mine and his tongue grazed my lips and slipped into my mouth. I molded closer to him and he seemed to understand that I wanted to be as close to him as possible. He shifted in the booth seat and pulled my legs across his laps, holding my back and caressing my face. I moaned into his mouth and shifted even closer.

He drew apart and whispered, “Just like that.” Then drew me closer and ravaged all the thoughts from my head. We were lost for what seemed like hours until a throat clearing startled us.

“Would you like to order?” asked the waiter

“Umm, give us a second,” SK responded

The waiter left the menu and walked off. My eyes wandered back to SK’s lips. He smirked at me and said, “There’s more where that came from.” His hands boldly stroked my legs which were in his lap. I noticed that my dress had ridden up and pulled my legs back and put them on the ground.

We ordered and ate, but he watched each bite I took and kept leaning in to nibble on my lips. At that point I was dying to leave and go home with him. After dinner he asked if I wanted to go dancing or home. On the way home, he held my hand.

“I really want to take you home tonight and ravish you, but at the same time want us to take our time. Can we do this another time?”

“Alright.”

I leaned in and kissed him, and then climbed out the car and walked into my apartment.
