Great Minds

By Inet Morudu, South Africa:

Whoa! Small mind, stay away from me.

As for you ordinary mind,

I don't need you.

Hey! Great mind, come closer.

A great mind has great ears

That hear when God says:

“Lift up your eyes!”

A great mind has great eyes

That see what it owns

Before it receives

A great mind has hands

Hands that change the channel

From minus to plus.

A great mind understands the language of:

“Stand your ground until the trumpet is blown”.

A great mind says “Don't touch”

Even when standards change.

A great mind has full faith in God.

A great mind has a task.

A task to create hope in a hopeless situation.
