Using “Me” and “I”

Using “Me” and “I”

There are many ways to use “me” and “I” without repeating yourself or sounding like a terribly uneducated/unschooled person.

For example, it is WRONG to say, “Me, I want to eat bananas.”

Rather, the CORRECT way to say it would be, “I prefer to eat bananas” or “I would like to eat bananas.” or “I am craving bananas” or “I want to eat banans”

etc. The point is not to use “Me” and “I” simultaneously.

Let’s face it, this is a common error in speech among Africans. However, it is quite easy to rectify.

So go ahead, try it today in your speech or conversation with a friend.
