A real Woman

By Inet Morudu, South Africa:

A real woman is not her heels.

A real woman is not her strong perfume.

A real woman is not her voluptuous curves.

A real woman… Do you know a real woman though?

Women  like Thabitha and Hannah.

I saw real women.

Women with the stature of Goliath

And the power equivalent to that of David.

Women who only know the way forward

and take no heed to the past.

I have met real women.

Real women hold back on the gossip,

Belittling and hatred.

Real women give out fresh love every day.

I heard real women who were

burdened with 90kg's of worldly problems

still saying bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me.

Real women… They are parents.

Real women, are faithful.

Real women, are builders.

Real women are nurturers.

Real women will be remembered

by their good deeds.
