Simple…who or what are you?

By Talent Mqongo:

Woke up this morning with a challenge to myself

A challenge to just find and do something simple

How hard can it be to think of the simplest thing to do

Most hours of the day have long passed and I see no simplicity in that

Such a boring pain upon my discovery that my mind can’t be simple

Let it be from the commencement of daily routine to its closure

I set in motion my world war three but only in the mind, in search of simple

Either simple does not exist or simple is long past dead

I approached the bench of the judge in my mind after three objections to simple

Who or what is simple? How can one or anything be simple?

After a reasonable amount of time and effort pushed in search of simple,

I simply realized that simplicity does not reside in me, neither does it exist

Just by being simple; nations were lost, souls misled, hearts broken and the world almost extinct

Hence I began to cautiously view, listen and analyze what is referred to as simple.
